About Us
Since 1986, the King Edward Avenue Task Force has been a voice in the City of Ottawa for the residents of King Edward Avenue and the surrounding community of Lowertown in downtown Ottawa. The Task Force's membership is composed of residents in the area who have wanted, from the Task Force's very beginning, to bring attention to the egregious situation caused by the temporary truck route and high commuter traffic levels that have been flowing through the community since the construction of the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge in 1965.
