Construction Underway (KEA Renewal)

Since 2005, King Edward Avenue has been under reconstruction. While the Task Force did not agree with all of the final design recommendations for the work currently underway, it has developed a good working relationship with the project manager, Phill Kerridge, a senior engineer with the City of Ottawa. The project was divided into four phases with phase 4 completion expected by the beginning of 2011.

• Phase 1: Macdonald-Cartier Bridge on and off ramps;
• Phase 2: King Edward Avenue (Boteler Street to St. Patrick Street);
• Phase 3: King Edward Avenue (St. Patrick Street to Besserer Street);
• Phase 4: King Edward Avenue (Besserer Street to Laurier Avenue).
